| The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) now requires passengers to provide airlines with specific secure flight data.
In order to comply with the new U.S. regulation that requires travellers to supply gender and date of birth with their booking information for pre-screening purposes, Last Minute Club will be collecting the above information for all departures from Nov. 1, 2010 onwards regardless of the destination. Our systems have been updated to include these specific fields and it is now mandatory to enter this information to complete a booking. Failure to do so, or providing the incorrect data, may result in additional screening, increased check-in time and/or denial of boarding. Effective Sept. 15 or Oct. 4 (depending on the brand), passengers must now provide the following information at the time of booking, and in any event at least 72 hours prior to flight departure:
For children, agents need enter the age the child will be at time of travel rather than at time of booking. This will not only assist with the TSA screening process but also with the ticket price overall. For existing bookings with departures from Nov. 1 onwards, the passenger information must be updated as soon as possible and at least 72 hours prior to departure. Our customers' privacy is of the utmost importance and ensuring it is a cornerstone of the Secure Flight program. TSA has developed a comprehensive privacy plan to incorporate privacy laws and practices into all areas of Secure Flight. The program has worked extensively to maximize individual privacy. In addition to assuring compliance and re-enforcing its commitment to protecting privacy, Secure Flight has created an environment dedicated to guaranteeing a Secure Flight privacy mission that is front and centre every day. TSA collects the minimum amount of personal information necessary to conduct effective watch list matching. Furthermore, personal data is collected, used, distributed, stored, and disposed of according to stringent guidelines and all applicable privacy laws and regulations. If you'd like more information on the TSA program, please visit www.tsa.gov/index.shtm. Thank you for your cooperation!
